Predictive Service begins the process by flying over the physical target during the day to visually inspect the facility and ensure the building is in the proper condition for the infrared analysis. The infrared inspection takes place during the early night hours, just after dark when a structure is emitting energy/heat it has absorbed during the day back into the atmosphere. This process allows PSC to capture, with sophisticated aerial infrared equipment, the overall heat pattern in a roof structure. Roof material that has moisture present retains heat longer then dry material. The specific heat signatures/patterns are then analyzed to determine where, if any, moisture is penetrating the structure. The results of the infrared analysis are converted from the infrared spectrum into a customized, blended visual image to maximize their usability. A client's images and inspection data are then made available on the web via PSC's patented data management software, ViewPoint®.
