I have been a photographer for 23 years. I took my first photograph in 1983 when I was in the 8th grade. I realized at that moment, that my mind worked like a camera, capturing details that most people don’t notice. I fell in love with photography instantly. For years, I continued to take pictures, but never focused on it as a way to earn a living. With marriage, motherhood and daily realities of life, I looked at my photography simply as a hobby. As the years passed, my life pressed on with many ups and downs, putting all else before my skill and love for photography. Finally, I realized it was time to "focus on me" and Focus on Me was born. At this point ‘Focus on Me’ has evolved, and has come to also mean ‘Focus on Maine’!
