Mr. Row is a California and Florida based photographer applying his love for rich color, simple lighting and, at times a bit of weirdness to editorial, entertainment, lifestyle, street, landscape, and fine art projects. Biography After a decade of self taught photography, Jason sees his medium as a natural extension and progression of his education and career in the neurosciences. When pressed, he admits to having “very little prejudicial thought or bias” toward the subjects he shoots in casual settings. “I have no idea what I might see or encounter that will grab my attention. I count on subjects to reveal themselves. My approach is non-linear in concept, much like the street photography I have produced. However, I do enjoy photo manipulation and the occasional studio gig.” The son of hard working, middle class, Midwestern parents, Jason felt a clear sense of purpose and direction from his education and career in biopsychology into visual communications. Some of his earliest recollections are of his parents hard work during the turbulence and chaos of the late-sixties and early seventies. Jason’s first photograph was “a lone tree in a barren field,” just outside his hometown of Fostoria, Ohio. “The tree is still there, I am not.”
