About Paul Barnett and His Photography Photography is my passion. It is part of my soul. If you see me smiling as I am photographing your wedding or taking your portrait, it is because I love it. I take great pride in my photography and I treat every single photo as a work of art. My Wedding Photography I have photographed weddings in the Washington DC area for years now. I am very selective in who I take on as a client. This is because I want to make sure my unique style matches your vision of your wedding day. I limit my work to twenty-four select weddings a year. This allows me to give each client my personal attention providing them with stunning results. My Style My photography has a very distinct look and warm feel. It is a blend of photojournalism with an artist’s touch that I have developed over the years. I am judicious with posed shots. I believe the best photographs are captured in the natural flow of things. I strive to make the heart and feel of the subject and event to come through in my photos. Quality More is not better in photography. Anyone with a digital SLR camera can snap fifteen hundred pictures of a wedding and put them on a disc. That’s not me. I am very discriminating in my shot selections. After the wedding, I hand pick the best shots and begin my work there. I then devote anywhere from thirty to forty hours of post production time to hand refining each photograph in Adobe Photoshop. I only use the best professional labs in the united states to process my prints. My albums are assembled by hand by the worlds finest printer. Dedication I have spent countless hours devoted to honing my craft. I have taken hundreds of thousands of photographs in my lifetime and read every book on photography I could get my hands on. I am constantly investing money into new and better equipment and software to ensure my photographs are the best they can be.
